Want to have a beautiful spring display of color in your home garden? The best time to plant spring-blooming bulbs is in the autumn! The bulbs can be planted as soon as you receive them from your mail order catalog or local nursery.
Home Garden–Planting in the Autumn
Planting spring-blooming bulbs is a great way to add color to your garden or flower beds. The best time to plant these bulbs is in the fall when the weather starts to get colder. Before you get started, be sure to check the literature provided by the bulb supplier, so you know how deep to plant each bulb.
I created this video to share the six bulbs I’m planting this autumn.
Also, I’ll save a handful of crocus bulbs so I can force them indoors this winter. There is no happier sight in February than a pot full of crocus blooming on the window sill!
