We are fortunate to live within a 5-minute drive of Carpenter Lake Nature Preserve. It’s a 42-acre area of woodlands, wetlands and native meadows. The native meadow has become an Autumn favorite. It’s rare to find a nature area that looks better in Autumn and Winter than Summer, but a native meadow is one such place.
I had the day off work today and decided to spend as much time as possible outside enjoying my favorite native meadow. Here are a few photos from today’s walk. I hope you enjoy the view as much as I did.
